I propose we host regular speeches of public, democratic interest. Some examples: A published economist An author who advocates for a progressive cause A political scientist involved in innovative policy solutions A public defender discussing the flaws in the system A city planner discussing ways to reduce gridlock in Denver A hydrologist discussing water conservation issues
These events would be an excellent face to show to the public, of widespread interest (i.e. not necessarily strictly political messages) and a good tool for recruiting new CPR members with diverse interests and experiences.
